The Alliance of Specialty Medicine today expresses serious concern about Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus' health plan recommendation that any increase in Medicare payments to primary care providers must be off-set by corresponding cuts in medical specialty care.,br>
Senator Baucus included this proposal in his "Call to Action: Health Reform 2009," made public last week, which outlines his vision for health care reform.
