The Alliance of Specialty Medicine wrote to the leadership of the Congress thanking them for their hard work in addressing COVID-19 pandemic and asked them to address the following issues in any further legislative response:
- Ensure Initial Disbursements From the $100 Billion Fund Can Be Retained by Providers Who Have Delayed Elective Procedures
- Revise the Terms of the Medicare Accelerated and Advance Payment Program
- Provide Additional Medical Liability Protections for Physicians During COVID-19 Response
- Waive Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Budget Neutrality Requirements and Provide Positive Physician Payment Updates
- Further Clarify Eligibility for the Paycheck Protection Program
- Address Physician Workforce Shortages
