On May 27, the Alliance of Specialty Medicine submitted a comment letter in response to the Department of Justice’s Request for Information on Anticompetitive Regulations, which sought feedback from the public on regulations, as well as state and federal laws, that could be considered anticompetitive, including those which impact healthcare. The Alliance’s letter discusses the need to ensure stable and sustainable physician payments under Medicare, to address excessive regulatory burden under the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS), to prioritize opportunities for specialists under alternative payment models (APMs), and to lift the ban on physician-owned hospitals.  You can access the letter by clicking the link below.
