The Alliance provided feedback to the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Alex Azar, as federal agencies work toward implementing the Trump Administration’s Executive Order (EO) entitled “Protecting and Improving Medicare for Our Nation’s Seniors.” Of chief concern to the specialty coalition are efforts to reduce Medicare fee-for-service (FFS) rates based on payments made to Medicare Advantage plan participants, and expand scope of practice for non-physician practitioners under Medicare. The Alliance offered a number of recommendations to improve network adequacy and reduce administrative burden on physicians. Read more in the Alliance’s letter to the Secretary.
