The Alliance of Specialty Medicine wrote to the bipartisan leadership of the House Energy and Commerce Committee and its Health Subcommittee to ask for a hearing on the United States Preventative Services Task Force (USPSTF).  While the USPSTF was originally supposed to provide guidence to primary care physicians, lately many of its reccommendations contradict physician guidelines based on medical literature, the American Cancer Society and and others with expertise in the clinical topic under review.

Accordingly, the Alliance endorses H.R. 1151, the USPSTF Transparency and Accountability Act and has asked for a hearing on the USPSTF and the legislation.
